Ear Nose Throat
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Services
Ear, nose, throat, neck, and head diseases are addressed, diagnosed, treated, and researched in the field of otolaryngology. The scope of this area, known as Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases, is quite broad. Simple treatments for a cold infection or correcting nasal structures that block the airways fall within the ENT field.
Our ENT clinic aims to solve patients' problems in the shortest and most accurate way by conducting detailed examinations. Our experienced specialists transform diseases affecting the ear, nose, throat, and head into manageable conditions.
Functional Nose Surgeries
Nasal surgeries can be performed for cosmetic purposes or to resolve physiological problems. Issues that prevent healthy breathing are corrected through functional nose surgeries. Procedures such as rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, concha surgery, and septum deviation operations aim to improve respiration and fall under the functional nose surgery category.
Septoplasty (Septum Deviation Surgery)
Septoplasty is performed when trauma or congenital abnormalities cause the nasal bone and cartilage to become misshaped, obstructing airflow. This surgery aims to anatomically correct the nasal cavity and resolve breathing issues.
Thermal Welding Method for Adenoid, Tonsil, and Ear Tube Placement
Technological advancements have led to the development of pain-free and scalpel-free treatments. Particularly in children, adenoid, tonsil, and ear tube placement surgeries are performed using the Thermal Welding method. This treatment method, utilizing thermal energy, has a quick recovery time and minimizes post-operative pain.
Snoring and Sleep Apnea Surgery
Although snoring and sleep apnea are often confused, they are distinct conditions. Sleep apnea is characterized by breathing difficulties during sleep due to airway obstruction and can be fatal. Snoring, on the other hand, is caused by narrowed airways that cause vibrations in the throat muscles, producing noise. Both snoring and sleep apnea can be treated to improve quality of life.
Surgical methods such as tongue root surgery, functional nose surgeries, and oral anatomical changes are used to treat these conditions. In snoring and sleep apnea surgery, the UPPP method using laser technology is particularly effective for addressing problems related to the tonsils, uvula, and soft palate.
Radiofrequency Application to Nasal Turbinates (Lower Concha RF)
The enlargement of nasal turbinates, which leads to nasal obstruction and difficulty breathing, can be treated with radiofrequency applications. This method effectively reduces the hypertrophy of turbinates with precision and minimal discomfort.
Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)
Endoscopic sinus surgery is performed for chronic sinusitis patients who do not respond to medication. This surgery improves the functionality of the sinus drainage pathways and clears obstructions in the sinuses using fiber-optic telescopes.
Vocal Cord Biopsy, Nodule, Cyst, Polyp, Edema Surgery (Laryngoscopy, MLS)
Voice changes such as hoarseness, raspiness, and vibration issues need to be thoroughly examined to identify their causes. Laryngoscopy is used for detailed examinations of vocal cords, especially when voice changes persist.
Larynx and Neck Lymph Node Removal (Laryngectomy, Neck Dissection)
Surgical methods are necessary for removing cancerous cells in the larynx and neck area. If cancerous cells spread to the lymph nodes, both the tumor and lymph nodes are removed through a procedure called neck dissection. Laryngectomy is performed when there is a problem with the vocal cords, removing the larynx and allowing the patient to use the esophageal vocal cords.
Tympanoplasty (Eardrum Repair)
Tympanoplasty is performed to clean infections in the middle ear and mastoid bone that hinder hearing and rebuild the eardrum. The surgery may be done under local or general anesthesia, depending on the patient's condition.
Middle Ear Surgery (Mastoidectomy, Tympanomastoidectomy)
Chronic middle ear infections can cause serious hearing problems. Mastoidectomy is performed to clean infections in the mastoid bone, while tympanomastoidectomy involves both cleaning the mastoid bone and reconstructing the eardrum.
Parotid Gland Surgery (Parotidectomy)
Parotidectomy involves the removal of the parotid gland (salivary gland beneath the ear). Depending on the patient's condition and tumor size, either part or the entire gland may be removed.
Submandibular Salivary Gland Surgery (Submandibular Gland Excision)
In cases of tumors or chronic infections in the submandibular glands beneath the chin, these glands may need to be removed through a small incision, typically under general anesthesia.
Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy (Endoscopic Tear Duct Surgery)
Blocked tear ducts caused by infections, adhesions, or stone formations can be treated surgically. Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy is performed by accessing the tear sac through the nose and creating a connection to alleviate the patient's symptoms.
Lower and Upper Jaw Fracture Repair (Mandible and Maxilla Fracture Repair)
Jaw fractures can interfere with essential activities like speaking and eating. Expert treatment for lower and upper jaw fractures is critical for restoring these functions.
Removal of Benign or Malignant Tumors from the Face and Neck, Aesthetic Repair
Surgical procedures may be performed to remove both benign and malignant tumors from the face and neck. After tumor removal, aesthetic restoration procedures are conducted to minimize any cosmetic impact.
