The Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi.

Our hospital's Clinical Microbiology Laboratory provides services in four subfields: bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology, and ensures the diagnosis of infections.

In microbiology, basic tests are used to diagnose infections caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi.

In our department, outpatient patients are followed up and treated, and if necessary, a decision is made regarding hospitalization. Additionally, patients from other departments who are hospitalized are also monitored and treated for infections.

In the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, which is affiliated with our department, tests are conducted to detect disease-causing microorganisms.
